Why do people believe in us

The mothers' fight for justice found in the Marcinho Institute an instrument of resistance, of combating the extermination of peripheral youth. I believe that big changes happen with small but significant acts. The Marcinho Institute is the materialization of a struggle that began in 2014, a collective struggle.

Laís Gama - social worker, master in social work, researcher, resident of the Periferia of Belém Pará.

I have known the Marcinho Institute since 2020. What has always impacted me was the strength of the community leadership's demands and above all the critical awareness that moves the fight with great courage, even without funding, the actions took place and the concern was with providing a good service the community. For me, this commitment from the Marcinho Institute is the most important starting point of a social movement.

Andréa Nascimento, popular educator and popular lawyer.
