Youth from the Periphery of the Amazon Pará
Marcinho Pitbull was a citizen of the Democratic State of Law who experienced the cruelest form of human rights violation: extermination within his territory.
Talking about Marcinho means giving a voice to adolescence and young people from the outskirts
Peripheries are historical products of capitalist processes in Brazil, they were created from the perspective of colonial exploitation, which has its origins in mercantile capitalism. Obviously, adolescence and youth suffer the impacts of coloniality embedded in Brazilian Amazonian institutions, and in sectors of society that reproduce this legacy of a country created from authoritarian, racist decision-making, hatred of the working class, generating criminalization, subalternization and strengthening violence against populations living on the outskirts, including in the Amazon of Pará.
When they exterminate adolescence and young people living in the outskirts, it is not uncommon in State institutions and some sectors of society for the victims to be accused of "vagrancy", of being "victims of chance" for "being in the wrong place" and a series of justifications emerge. that blame the victims and hide those responsible. This is the result of the historical process of territorial formation in the Amazon, which for more than 500 years has nullified the capabilities of original, traditional peoples and also stigmatized urban peripheries.
To dear reader: understand this page as an explanation for civil society and the State about who the victims of extermination are in our territory. We do not accept young people from the periphery being killed, being held responsible for their own deaths, not even in corridor speeches, much less in official documents.
To say who Marcinho was is to say who the teenagers and young people were exterminated by extermination groups, militias, drug traffickers and police in Pará. We cannot bring Marcinho to life, so we understand that our commitment is to preventing new murders. Therefore, it is necessary to say and repeat, as many times as necessary, who the exterminated teenagers and young people are until the cases of extermination of young people on the outskirts of the Pará Amazon cease.
Marcinho started working at the age of 17, in the SENAC-Pará young apprentice program, he received a letter of recommendation from the Companies of the Líder Group, where he began his career. Below are the proofs that include the signed work card, Apprenticeship course completion diploma and letter of recommendation.
